About Us
Where did it start?
'Picture This Poem' is a family project, which started during the lockdown of 2020, when so many lives were affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Sitting at home, unable to go to school or work, we got used to a whole new way of life. We filled our days with learning together, being creative together and most of all having fun together.
That's when we discovered we had two amazing passions within us: writing poetry ✍ and drawing pictures ✏. So we put them both together and started on our little adventure, to not only write poems but illustrate them as well and share them with the world 🌏.
And so 'Picture This Poem' was born.
'It's poetry to the ears
And a tug at all the hearts
It's an adventure worth the wait
This is where it all starts'
Why poetry and pictures?
A good poem is never forgotten and a good picture can speak a thousand words. In the troubled times we are currently living in, we want to spread some joy and love 💜 into our world and heal some of the pain that is being experienced by so many.
What do we want to achieve?
Our dream is to write poetry that will inspire and motivate others to do good and share goodness around the world. We take pride in our roots, our culture and our faith and we want all of this to resonate within the poetry and illustrations we create.
A famous poet once said 'Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.' We hope our thoughts and our emotions make their way to you through our words. Enjoy the videos and be sure to share with others.
